Emma and her staff are truly dedicated to a higher calling to provide a spiritual space that will nurture mind, body and spirit and to be a supportive stepping stone for our clients on their healing journey.  When entering this sacred space, you enter a web of heart-centered, non-judgmental healing relationships that nurture the client, staff, community and Mother Earth itself.

Emma Newman is an Ordained Minister, Certified Holistic Health Practitioner,  healer, teacher, business mentor and spiritual advisor.  She is the founder and administrator of Emma's and The Appalachian Institute of Awakening.  Emma Newman began her healing touch career over 30 years ago practicing massage in manicure, pedicure, and facial therapy as a PA and New York state licensed cosmetologist.  Changing careers to pursue a lifelong dream to become ordained, she began spiritual study as a deaconess for the Lutheran Church In America.  In this process of spiritual awakening her studies led her to The Valley Spiritual Center and School of Healing Arts, Colorado Institute of Healing, and The Upledger Institute.  She is currently completing her doctorate in naturopathic medicine.  Serving as founder and spiritual director of Emma's she completes the circle of body, mind, and spirit work offering anointing with sacred oils, and laying on of  hands.  Her multi-dimensional work introduces mysticism and the stages of awakening that the human soul travels inward for a spiritual harmony and soul purpose with The Absolute - however it is understood in this earth life.
